You need a web platform first - not just social media accounts!

You don't own or control social media. Your account can be banned, hacked or just deleted for random reasons.

Also, any content, photo's or video's you add to it no longer belong to you! They are the property of the social media platform, can be downloaded and used by other people, or used for fraudulent practices.

So what are your choices for a web platform?
Usually it's something you pay for, have a log in for and control.

The most popular in the world is WordPress.

But, it has multiple downsides!
These websites can be complicated to setup and scale, and can be hacked if they are not updated and maintained. They also must be backed up, so some other data storage space is required.

WordPress webhosting fees are just the start. It really adds up! Theme's, plugin's, support and more.

There are other platforms like Wix, Squarespace, ClickFunnels, website builders included with Auto Responder companies (Like Kit.com) and many, many others.

These are all reliable, but will cost money after the free trial period that some of them provide.
In some cases, their capabilities are limited in comparison to everything you can do with WordPress.

The current platform I'm using is called Systeme.io. You can get started for free!

And, if you only need a simple site for a physical business or blog, you can stay on their free plan forever.

I have a paid site and several free sites for different purposes. I create websites on Systeme.io for businesses like restaurants, community groups and may other types.

The great thing about Systeme is it is very affordable (less than WIX or WordPress) if you upgrade from free to the Startup plan at $228 a year.

As a comparison, WIX Lite is $204 a year, and the Core plan is $348!
